The Chapter J Story

Chapter J’s Charter was granted by the Gold Wing Road Riders Association on June 26th 1992, the official “Kick Off” was at the Holiday Inn Annapolis on Saturday August 29th 1992 and was presented by Annapolis Honda (now out of business). Invitations were signed by Ralph Adams and Doug Risch.

letter sent out to all who attended.

5th Annual Ride to Thurmont – 05/18/08

The Power Riders of Crofton invite you to join us for the 5th Annual Ride 
to Thurmont on Sunday May 18th, 2008. We will take a scenic ride through 
western Maryland on our way to Thurmont and the Historic Cozy Inn.

We will have a buffet lunch that is well worth the ride. The Cozy is a 
favorite destination for many bikers and is well know for it's great food 
and desserts.

05/26/08 Memorial Day Parade

Once again, our chapter has been invited by the Chesapeake chapter (#712) of the Vietnam Veterans of America to participate in the Annapolis Memorial Day Parade on May 26th.

Fight for Faith

Event to benefit Faith Johnson who will be undergoing liver Picture 2transplant within the next few months.  Faiths mother will be tested to be her living donor.  Join us for a day of music, fun and games.  This is a familyevent.  Please bring your lawn chairs and your dancing shoes.  All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend.   There will be children activities, food and refreshments.  If you would like to donate your time, food, driks etc. please contact Bonnie. Update!! We will be having a planning meeting for this trip on Thursday May 29th during our Garage meeting which is scheduled for 7 PM at the home of Randy & Robin Bunch.  If you plan on riding with us to Lake George we would recommend you make every effort to attend this meeting.

2009 Gold wing Announced

Honda Motor Company today announced its plans for the new 2009 GL-2000 Goldwing touring bike. The new Goldwing will replace the industry-leading GL-1800 Goldwing which went into production in 2001.


The 2009 GL-2000 Goldwing will feature a larger 2.0 litre (2000 cc) 6-cylinder engine matched to a new 6-speed transmission. Honda claims the new engine will produce 165 horsepower and 157 foot pounds of torque. "This new powerplant and transmission should provide the kind of power and torque…
