Update!! We will be having a planning meeting for this trip on Tuesday July 1 St during our Garage meeting which is scheduled for 7 PM at the home of Mike & Kathryn Mangum. If you plan on riding with us to Greenville, we would recommend you make every effort to attend this meeting.
Some Chapter J members are planning on attending this years Wing Ding which will be held in Greenville, SC.
We are departing the morning of Wednesday July 2 and riding as long as we can, finding a hotel to spend the night then finishing the trip on Thursday July 3. We are planning on staying at the Hyatt in Downtown Greenville. Below are some other hotels that were available at the time we were planning this trip. In order to have everyone stay at the same hotel we will need to act fast and each one of us will need to book their own room on-line. At this time there are only about 6 hotels left that have enough openings to hold us all. Each hotel has a different cancellation policy but most are allowing cancellations with a 7-14 day notice.They are:
Crowne Plaza (but only have 2 double bed rooms left) at $109/night
Embassy Suites Golf Resort & Conference Center at $131/night
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Downtown at $117/night
Hyatt Regency Greenville at $109/night (also downtown, better than the Holiday Inn and cheaper I have been told)
Marriott Greenville at $129 (about 10 minutes from the conference center)
The Westin Poinsett at $135/night
Downtown is about 4 miles from the conference center. I was also told if you book at a hotel in downtown, there is plenty of "stuff" you can walk to.
When placing your reservation, please make a notation that you are with MD Chapter J and send me an email letting me know you have registered and I will call and ask them to put us together as best they can.
